The Pursuit of Progress is your go-to resource for embracing a growth mindset and committing to continuous self-improvement. My focus is on helping newbies to exercise and wellness instill solid habits and gain confidence in their abilities. This could include a plethora of things:

  • Tips for nutrition (no, I do not believe in eliminating all the unhealthy delicious foods!)

Who am I?


I’m Ali! I’m a mother of two strong-willed, sweet, sassy, and amazing girls (4 and 7). I work a standard day job at a company I love, in a department full of people I care deeply about, and work towards my dreams and goals after my little ones go to sleep or in the few quiet moments I get while they’re immersed in their iPads or playing teacher.

My husband is my rock and the reason it’s possible for me to embark on my wellness journey while also trying to make my dreams come true to help others succeed in theirs.

My Wellness Journey & “Midlife” Awakening

As many do, when approaching 40 I started asking myself, “What am I really doing with my life?” I like my day job, love the company, and the people, but I didn’t feel fulfilled or like I was living in my purpose. Then something magical happened… I realized my true passion lies in helping others succeed in fitness, mindset, and overall well-being.

Credentials & Ongoing Education

  • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) – practical, gym-free strategies for every body
  • Certified Wellness Coach – holistic approaches to overall wellness, including mindset and motivation
  • Aspiring Certified Nutrition Coach – (studies to be complete by Thanksgiving 2025)
  • In the works: self-study workshops about goal-setting and habits, and overall wellness. More to come on these in the near future.

Wellness

The term Wellness can be broad. To me, it’s anything that helps calm the mind and enhances your ability to truly enjoy life.

That could mean getting a massage, working out, eating nourishing foods—or indulging in something delicious just because it makes you happy. Maybe it’s journaling, sitting in silence, sleeping (which is insanely underrated, in my opinion) or simply taking a break.

Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all. Different strategies work for different people, and I genuinely love exploring all of it.
